Model WRDC Wireless Remote Damper Control

The WRDC is an easy to use remote that communicates wirelessly to a modulating zone damper to control the amount of heating or cooling airflow to a space anywhere from 100% to 0% airflow for optimum comfort and energy savings.

Remote is battery powered - Requires no wiring.

Remote can be used anywhere in the space - 100 foot wireless range.

Remote communicates wirelessly to an R80DWL damper.

Lite key turns on backlight for easy viewing of display at night.

Simple operation.

One remote can control airflow in up to 8 different spaces.

Simple Installation For Controlling Airflow to a Single Space

A wireless R80DWL Damper is installed in the trunk line supplying airflow to the space. If necessary, more than one damper may be used to define the space.

Use 2-conductor, 18 or 20 gage thermostat cable to connect the damper to a separate 24VAC transformer or the equipment R and C terminals for 24VAC power. Up to six dampers can be powered by a separate transformer.

Activate the 2 AAA batteries already installed in the remote to start controlling airflow.

A wireless R80DWL Damper is installed in the trunk line supplying airflow to each space. If necessary, more than one damper may be used to define a space.

Use 2-conductor, 18 or 20 gage thermostat cable to connect one damper to a separate 24VAC transformer or the equipment R and C terminals for 24VAC power. Connect additional dampers to the first damper for 24VAC power. Up to six dampers can be powered by a separate transformer.

The remote and damper default to Damper 1. A push button on the damper motor is used to set the damper number for each additional space that is being controlled to Damper 2, Damper 3, etc.

Activate the 2 AAA batteries already installed in the remote to start controlling airflow. Use the Damper key to select the desired damper to control.

Damper - Spiral wrapped, 24 ga galvanized steel shell with 20 ga galvanized steel blade.

Power - 24VAC or 24VDC. 2.8VA operating and 1VA holding. 2 wire connection

to separate 24VAC 40VA transformer or to the R and C equipment terminals. One transformer can power up to 6 dampers.

Output Torque - 80 in-oz.

Operation Time - Fully opens or fully closes in approximately 3 seconds.

LED Indicators - Green LED indicates fully open. Red LED indicates fully close.

Blinking Green/Red indicates a position between open and closed.

Multiple dampers can be used to define a zone.

Push button on damper to set unique damper number from 1 to 8.

Operating Temperature - -20 to 175 degrees F

Model WTDC Wireless Thermostat Damper Control

WIRELESS

The WTDC is an automatic control that uses the Set To Temperature and the space temperature to automatically adjust the modulating zone damper to control the amount of heating or cooling airflow to a space to maintain the desired comfort temperature.

Wall Control is battery powered - requires no wiring.

Wall Control is installed on any wall in the space - 100 foot wireless range.

Wall control communicates wirelessly to the Damper Control installed near the equipment.

Damper Control wires to gas/electric or heat pump equipment for 24VAC power and to monitor the equipment for heating and cooling calls.

Damper Control connects to the R80CJ plug&play damper using the included cable.

Install the Damper Control near the equipment and damper. Use 4-conductor, 18 or 20 gage thermostat cable to connect the Damper Control to gas/electric equipment terminals R, C, Y and W or heat pump equipment terminals R, C, Y and O or B for 24VAC power and to monitor the equipment for heating and cooling calls.

Using the 25' plug&play cable, connect the damper to the Damper Control.

G/E Equipment

Mount the WTDC base to the wall using the hardware provided.

Install the AAA batteries included then install the WTDC on the base.

When a heating or cooling call is activated by the thermostat, the WTDC will automatically adjust the amount of heating or cooling airflow to the space to maintain the desired temperature.
